Google and CSF Unveil 'AI Samarth' to Promote AI Literacy Across India

In a significant move to enhance awareness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in India, the Central Square Foundation (CSF), in collaboration with Google, has launched an initiative called 'AI Samarth.' This program is designed to equip students, parents, and educators with the skills needed to navigate the AI-driven world. The focus is on spreading AI literacy and promoting the responsible use of AI technologies in daily life.

According to Shaveta Sharma-Kukreja, CEO of CSF, the initiative is set to reach five million people over the next four years. AI Samarth will offer tailored training based on an individual's understanding, using practical examples to make AI more accessible to everyone.

The key goals of AI Samarth are as follows:

1. AI Curriculum Development: Create an AI literacy curriculum that will cater to students, parents, and teachers with input from AI experts.

2. Open-Source Content: Develop a high-quality, open-source library with easily accessible content.

3. Training Programs: Deliver training via local partners and online platforms to ensure broad access to AI knowledge.

4. Collaboration and Best Practices: Encourage collaboration among stakeholders to share knowledge and best practices in AI education within schools.

With AI Samarth, Google and CSF are setting the stage for a future where responsible AI usage becomes a part of everyday education in India, empowering millions to interact with technology responsibly.
