UNMC IT is set to enhance the login process for Adobe products, aiming to streamline user access and improve security by integrating corporate email credentials.
UNMC users will no longer need to create and remember a separate Adobe username and password. Instead, they will use their standard corporate email account and password to log in. This update simplifies the login process and aligns with modern security practices.
This change specifically affects UNMC users who utilize Adobe products such as Acrobat and Photoshop. While the applications and their versions will remain the same, the login credentials will switch to the users' UNMC account.
When the change takes effect on May 1, users will be prompted to select the “Company or School Account” option and enter their standard UNMC email account and password. The “Personal Account” option with the previous standalone password will no longer be available.
For users who have files stored in their Adobe account, it is crucial to take action before the transition:
• File Transfer: Any personal Adobe-specific data, such as Photoshop files or videos, stored in the Adobe account will be lost after the transition. Users should move these files to a OneDrive account before May 1 to avoid data loss.
If users have questions or are unsure if they have Adobe-specific files that need to be moved, they should submit an IT ticket to the UNMC IT Service Desk.
The IT team will assist in validating if files need to be moved before the transition date.
