Summary

Samsung has introduced its latest wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Buds 3, at the Unpacked 2024 event.

These new models mark a significant design shift, incorporating features that may remind users of Apple's AirPods, particularly the white models with their oblong charging cases and transparent tops.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, however, distinguish themselves with an LED color strip on the stems, dubbed the “Blade,” which adds a touch of flair and functionality through swipe and click interactions. The silver versions highlight the unique design elements, including a sharp 90-degree angle on the stems, contrasting with the AirPods' softer curves.

Samsung’s approach with these earbuds aims to address the control surface area limitations found in standard Galaxy Buds. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro come equipped with silicone ear tips for a secure and comfortable fit, offering immersive sound through a Canal Type design. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy Buds 3, which do not include silicone tips, are designed for versatility and long-term use with an Open Type form.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro also feature adaptive active noise canceling, using onboard microphones to enhance the listening experience. Additionally, they include siren and voice detect features for added functionality. Both the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro are available for preorder starting Wednesday, with shipping set to begin on July 24. The standard Galaxy Buds 3 are priced at $180, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro come in at $250.
