Yahoo Welcomes Valeri Liborski as Chief Technology Officer Amid AI Push

Yahoo has announced the appointment of Valeri Liborski as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), succeeding Aengus McClean, who will be retiring by year-end. McClean has been a key player in Yahoo's technological advancements since its separation from Verizon in 2021, leading the company's engineering team with significant contributions.

Liborski steps into the role with a wealth of experience, having spent the past two and a half years as CTO of HelloFresh. His tenure at Amazon is equally noteworthy, where he served as Vice President of Technology for the EU region for five years. Prior to that, he spent over a decade at Microsoft in key engineering roles. His diverse tech expertise across major global companies positions him as a strategic leader for Yahoo's next chapter of innovation.

In his new role, Liborski will lead Yahoo's global engineering division, overseeing teams that are heavily focused on AI-powered solutions and product innovation. As AI becomes increasingly vital across industries, Yahoo aims to further enhance its digital products with smart technologies, ensuring a more personalized and seamless experience for its users. Liborski will report directly to Yahoo's CEO, Jim Lanzone, who expressed confidence in Liborski's ability to steer Yahoo’s engineering into a new era.
