iOS 18 Beta Introduces 'Dynamic' Wallpaper That Adapts to the Time of Day

Apple's latest iOS 18 beta introduces a new "dynamic" wallpaper mode that changes color throughout the day, according to 9to5Mac. This feature adds a dynamic twist to the four default two-toned wallpaper options: yellow, pink, azure, and purple. The dynamic wallpaper automatically shifts hues to align with the time of day, offering a visually appealing and context-sensitive home screen experience.

iOS 18 also allows users to tint their home screen and app icons to match specific colors, demonstrated in hues like yellow, red, and green at WWDC. Additionally, a dark tint option is available, which applies dark mode to all icons when activated. However, AppleInsider reports that this can sometimes lead to less-than-perfect icon rendering, with some complex icons displaying white or gray pixels at their edges. It's important to note that these features are still in the beta phase, with a public beta expected to be released later this month and the official release scheduled for the fall.
